In our present day, electronic mails have strongly emerged into our lifestyle, and many of us use these E-mails instead of those old paper mails. However, many times, we have to write in the old style of paper mails on many occasions. One of these occasions is writing a formal letter to someone. Writing a formal letter has a specific technique, and in this course, we learned this technique and practiced it. The following is an example of a formal letter.

Dear Mrs. Von Uhl,
Since my youth, my family members were calling me Ahmed, the engineer. This gave me inspiration and motivation to become an engineer. Since then, I started building my dreams as an engineer.
As I grew up, I chose to become an electrical engineer. Many of my adult friends work as electrical engineers, as I visit their work locations and look at their positions, the inspiration for this significant increases and dreams start to build up. First of all, I am planning to get my degree from CCNY so that I can apply for the license certificate. Then, I’m planning to work a couple of years in a factory to get experience. This is just a kickstart for my real dream. I am dreaming of working for one of the refining factories in the Gulf countries and get considered as an experienced foreign worker. My vision doesn’t stop here, but it will continue.
The last checkpoint is a good start of my actual dream carrier as I will climb the ladder to the end until I am one of the managers, most experienced and get one of the highest salaries. This starts the step that I consider significant to society and the economy. I will build a large company using the help of the top engineers in each engineering major, not just electrical. I will convince them to create the largest corporate, a leading engineering construction company, provides engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and project management services. We will make this company more massive and more gigantic until we become well-known and lead that business.
Engineers always think to manipulate and go around the obstacles to find their solution. That’s the reason we have biomedical engineers to go around disability, civil engineers to go around traffic, geological engineers to go around the scarcity of resources and endless creativity comes out from the various engineers.
Optimism is high among the giant engineering and architecture firms, as the economy continues to stabilize, and promising new technologies, services, and programs provide opportunities to bolster profits and revenue, and engineers lead these firms.
Sincerely,
Ahmed Elgharably
The following letter was a practice on writing a formal letter, and it was submitted through Blackboard. This assignment gave me the idea of how to write a formal letter and gave me the chance to search for more information on how to do it.
